It’s been a while in the making but I’m happy to welcome you to my new little piece of the interwebs!
I’m still doing some housecleaning, but what you’ll find in these pages (besides too much information about me) is a portfolio of my recent graphic design work (including my comic book work) and the rambling blog section that you’re reading now. The blog will cover mostly graphic designey type topics, but will also include some tutorials, downloads, giveaways, wallpapers and work-in-progress insights.
To celebrate the launch of my new website I’m giving away 5 signed copies of The Art of Trevor Hutchison book. This comic book sized publication was released by IDW Publishing in very limited numbers as a retailer incentive (RI) with issue 1 of the new ongoing Transformers comic book series. It includes all the pure, un-barcoded cover art I produced for the All Hail Megatron series, including the rare RI covers for All Hail Megatron: Coda extension of the series plus my art deco styled cover for Spotlight: Blurr.

The covers that you made are amazing. They are a breath of fresh air for transformers. It is not your typical cover of hi-tech robots, bolts, metal cable and wires and super saturated photoshop colors. It is simplistic but with a lot of impact. It shows great talent and skill to pull of a cover with a limited color palette and still make it dynamic and very interesting. The covers are simply amazing!
I love your stuff! Your All Hail covers are some of my absolute favorites!

Hi Prabhu. Unfortunately this was only offered as a limited edition retailer incentive, which means they are pretty hard to find. Some larger comic book stores may still have it. Also, I’ll probably hold another contest soon and give some more of my copies away. Glad you hear you like the covers.

I have this comic book and I’m trying to document it in a local comic db. Can you give me any specifics about it. I know it is rare and hard to find and some stores are selling it for quite a bit, but I can’t find any info anywhere on what it is.
What I do know is it is a retailer incentive version and is classified as part of the Ongoing Transformers series as #1. Even though it doesn’t actually have the #1 comic store in it. Can you help me out at all? I heard that this might be a 1:100 cover, or it may be a 1:20. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks for your time.

Hi Patrick, sorry I didn’t see this earlier. This was a retailer incentive with issue 1 of the ongoing IDW Transformers comic book series. My understanding was that stores that ordered more than (100?) copies received this booklet with their order. It is simply a comic book with all my cover art for Transformers, plus an introduction by editor Any Schmidt. No story included!
